01About the course
What you will learn in Coding for Kids
Coding means giving a computer clear, step-by-step instructions in a language it understands. Our New Gen Literacy Coding programmes let your child learn one of four real programming languages: Python, Java, C or C++. Each course is about 24–25 hours and moves from the very first program to loops, functions and a small project your child builds on their own.
This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want Coding for Kids taught live by a trainer.
Your child should read simple English and use a keyboard and mouse. No coding experience is needed. For C and C++, children who are a little older or who have tried Python first usually find it easier; the counsellor can advise.

How the Coding for Kids course runs online

Trainer-led sessions on your own computer. Same syllabus, project and certificate as classroom batches. Evening, early-morning or weekend slots in your time zone.

Part online, part in the lab. Take lab sessions at Vellore, Katpadi or Ranipet when you visit India, and the rest online. Depends on trainer and lab availability.

Yes. Coding for Kids is taught live online by a trainer, with the same syllabus, hours and project as the classroom batch. Batches are planned around your time zone, subject to trainer availability.
How many hours is the Coding for Kids course?
Coding for Kids is offered at 4 levels (24–25 h): Course on New Gen Literacy Coding using C – 24 hours; Course on New Gen Literacy Coding using C++ – 24 hours; Course on New Gen Literacy Coding using JAVA – 25 hours; Course on New Gen Literacy Coding using Python – 25 hours.
Do I need to buy the software?
We teach; we do not supply software. Use your own licence or an educational or trial licence where the maker offers one. Our Software & Licensing Policy explains the rules.
Can I attend some classes in person in India?
Yes. Hybrid and fully offline options are available at our Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet centres on dates agreed in advance, depending on trainer and lab availability.
What does it cost?

Will I get a certificate?
On completing the course and its project you receive the Livewire network certificate. It is a skill-training certificate, not a degree or a professional licence.
