Mining houses and contractors
Electrical, instrumentation and planned-maintenance work on deep-level mines.
South Africa’s mining, automotive and finance sectors hire technical staff. Learn live from India, three and a half hours ahead of Johannesburg.
01South Africa
Mining in Gauteng and the Northern Cape, vehicle plants in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng, and the financial and engineering-services sector centred on Johannesburg shape most technical hiring. Durban’s port and Cape Town’s technology scene add logistics and software roles.
South Africa is three and a half hours behind India, so an Indian early-evening class fits a late-afternoon session locally.

06Careers
A CAE / FEA analyst uses computer simulation to check whether a part or structure will survive the loads it faces in real life.
Day to day: post-process stress, displacement and mode-shape results and check them against hand calculations; build shell, solid and 1D meshes that meet element-quality criteria.
Skills employers ask for: Element types, mesh quality checks and convergence; Technical report writing; Strength of materials and machine design fundamentals.
Where careers start: CAE Trainee.
A mechanical design engineer turns a product idea into accurate 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Day to day: revise designs based on feedback from manufacturing, quality and testing teams; create 3D part models and assemblies from sketches, specifications or customer inputs.
Skills employers ask for: GD&T and tolerance stack-up basics; 3D part and assembly modelling in SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or NX; Basic strength-of-materials calculations.
Where careers start: Trainee / CAD Draughtsman.
A CFD engineer uses computational fluid dynamics to predict how air, water, oil or gas flows through and around products.
Day to day: present findings and design suggestions to product and test teams; post-process velocity, pressure and temperature contours, streamlines and forces.
Skills employers ask for: Fluid mechanics and heat transfer fundamentals; Meshing for CFD, including boundary-layer inflation; Basic CAD handling and geometry clean-up.
Where careers start: CFD Trainee.

Still have a question? Message us on WhatsApp.
Ask on WhatsAppPLC and SCADA with electrical CAD is the common pairing.
Yes. Time zones are the same across the country.
Mining in Gauteng and the Northern Cape, vehicle plants in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng, and the financial and engineering-services sector centred on Johannesburg shape most technical hiring. A sensible order is PLC & SCADA first, then Electrical CAD (AutoCAD Electrical) once you are comfortable.
No. Classroom students practise on the centre's systems. For online classes you need a computer that can run SolidWorks; the counsellor can guide you on the setup.
Programs are written in the manufacturer's software and tested on a PLC or simulator, and the course includes panel and relay wiring practice. Ask your centre about the hardware available in your batch.
Yes. CareerKraft runs live, trainer-led online and hybrid batches with the same syllabus, projects and certificate as classroom batches, so learners in South Africa do not have to relocate.
