Mechanical
SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or Siemens NX, then Ansys or HyperMesh, with GD&T.
Add industry software to your degree with branch-wise courses from CADD Centre and Livewire, taught at our Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet centres.
01Why engineering students add software skills
Engineering degrees teach the theory well, but interviews often ask whether you can use the tools: model a part, analyse a frame, write a program, program a PLC. A course alongside your degree fills that gap and gives you project work to discuss.
The Katpadi and Vellore area has many engineering colleges, and Ranipet's industrial estate is close by. Our centres in all three towns teach every course, so you can choose the one nearest your college or home.
02Branch-wise suggestions
SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or Siemens NX, then Ansys or HyperMesh, with GD&T.
AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, ETABS and Primavera for design and planning.
Electrical CAD, PLC & SCADA, Electrical Power System Analysis and EV Design.
Microcontroller & Embedded C, OrCAD PCB Design, IoT and Embedded Linux.
Java, Python, Full Stack, Data Science, Cloud Computing (AWS) and Cybersecurity.
Python, MATLAB, Advanced Excel and Employability Skills help in almost every role.
03When to start
First and second-year students often start with a Foundation course such as AutoCAD or C Programming. By third year, a Professional-level course and a solid project help with internships and final-year work. Final-year students and fresh graduates usually focus on the tools used in the jobs they are applying for.
Classes run in classroom, online or hybrid mode, depending on trainer availability. WhatsApp or call the centre you choose – Katpadi, Vellore or Ranipet.

Still have a question? The counsellor at the centre you prefer replies on WhatsApp.
Ask on WhatsAppA 3D modelling tool such as SolidWorks, CATIA or Creo is the core skill. Adding Ansys for analysis and GD&T for drawings makes your profile stronger for design roles.
AutoCAD first, then Revit for BIM or STAAD.Pro and ETABS for structural design. Primavera is useful if you are interested in site planning.
Yes. Ask the centre about batch timings that fit around college hours, or consider online or hybrid mode.
The skills and course project can support your final-year work, especially in design, simulation, embedded or software projects. Discuss your topic with the trainer.
Yes. Placement support includes resume help, mock interviews and job leads. It is support, not a job promise.
