01What is Java

What is Java? In plain words.

Java is an object-oriented programming language first released by Sun Microsystems in 1995 and now maintained by Oracle. Java code compiles to bytecode that runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), so the same program runs on Windows, Linux or macOS. It has a huge standard library, strong typing and automatic memory management, which make it a reliable choice for large applications.

Java runs a large share of enterprise software in India: banking cores, insurance portals, telecom billing, e-commerce back ends and government systems. Frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot are the standard for building REST APIs and microservices, and Android also has deep Java roots. IT services and product companies regularly hire Java developers, and core Java is a common topic in campus interviews.

Java is taught in most engineering and computer science colleges around Vellore and Katpadi, and it remains one of the most requested skills in IT hiring in Chennai and Bengaluru. Training locally lets you build job-ready Java and Spring Boot skills without moving city first.

  • Build web applications with Servlets, JSP, HTML and JavaScript
  • Create REST APIs and database CRUD applications with Spring Boot
  • Use Spring Security, JPA, Git and Docker in a professional workflow
  • Complete Java projects and prepare a CV and interview plan for developer roles
