01What is Primavera
What is Primavera? In plain words.
Primavera P6 is project planning and scheduling software from Oracle. Planners use it to break a project into a Work Breakdown Structure, create activities, link them with relationships, and calculate the critical path. They then assign roles, resources and costs, save baselines and update progress to see whether the project is ahead or behind. P6 comes as a desktop client and as P6 Web (EPPM) for enterprise-wide use.
Primavera is a common requirement on large construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, power and manufacturing projects, where many contracts ask for schedules in P6 format. Planning engineers, project controls staff and PMO teams use it daily to prepare look-ahead schedules, track earned value and report to clients. Knowing both the software and the project management concepts behind it makes you useful on site and in head offices.

Primavera P6 is Oracle's project planning and scheduling software. It is used to build a WBS, create and link activities, find the critical path, assign resources and track progress against a baseline.
Who can join the Primavera course?
Civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, diploma holders, architects, project coordinators and management students can join. Basic computer skills are enough; project or site experience helps.
How long is each Primavera level?
Certificate in Primavera Project Management is 40 hours. Proficient in Primavera with PPM Concepts and Advanced Certificate in Project Planning Management using Primavera are 64 hours each. Advanced Certificate in Enterprise Project Planning using Primavera is 80 hours, and Professional in Project Planning Management using Primavera is 104 hours.
Which level should I choose?
Take the 40-hour Certificate for P6 client scheduling only. Take a 64-hour level to add project management concepts, the 80-hour level for P6 Web and administration, or the 104-hour Professional level for everything. The counsellor can help you choose.
Can I learn Primavera online?
Yes. Classroom, online and hybrid modes are offered, depending on trainer availability. The centre will confirm the options for the next batch.
Is a free demo available?
Yes, ask your chosen centre on WhatsApp or phone for a demo or counselling session.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Proficient in Primavera with PPM Concepts gives a CADD Centre certificate, and the other levels give a SynergySBS certificate, after you complete the course and assessment.
Do you offer placement support?
We offer placement support – resume help, mock interviews and job leads. A job is not guaranteed; practical scheduling practice and any site experience help a lot.
What is the fee?
Please contact the counsellor at your chosen centre. They will share the current fee for each level, any offers and EMI options on WhatsApp.
Do I need a laptop?
Classroom batches use centre systems. For online classes you need a Windows laptop with internet; the counsellor will explain the software setup.
What jobs and salary can I expect?
Common roles are planning engineer, project scheduler and project controls engineer. Freshers usually start around ₹2.6–4.5 LPA, with higher pay in metros and on large projects. These figures are indicative only.
Which centre should I choose and what are the timings?
All three centres – Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet – run Primavera training. Hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30 am to 6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
