Software & Licensing Policy
How software is used in CareerKraft training – who provides it, who licenses it, and the standards every student, trainer and client follows.
1. Purpose and scope
This Software & Licensing Policy explains how third-party software is used in training delivered by CareerKraft (“CareerKraft”, “we”, “us”), the operator of careerkraft.in and of the CADD Centre, Livewire and Synergy School of Business Skills (SynergySBS) training centres at Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.
It applies to every course, internship, workshop, free demo class, corporate, institutional and online programme we deliver – at our centres, at client premises or online – and to every student, participant, parent or guardian, trainer, staff member and client (“you”).
2. CareerKraft's role as a training provider
CareerKraft is an education and training provider. We teach how to use software tools and the engineering, technology and business concepts behind them.
We are not a software publisher, developer, reseller, distributor or licensing agent, and we are not an authorised reseller of any software vendor, unless we expressly say so in writing for a specific product.
3. What is and isn't included in course fees
Course fees cover instruction, the course material described at admission, practice exercises, assessment and the training certificate issued under the applicable partner-network norms.
Unless expressly stated in writing in your enrolment form, proposal or invoice, course fees do not include any software, software licence, subscription, product key, activation, cloud or AI-service credits, plug-ins or add-ons, hardware, or vendor certification exam fees.
4. Student-owned laptops and devices
If you use your own laptop, tablet or other device, you are responsible for it – including its operating system, security software, updates, backups, compatibility and every program installed on it.
Please back up your data before installing course software. We are not responsible for loss of data, malfunction or damage to a device we do not own that results from software you choose to install, except to the extent caused by our own negligence.
5. Student responsibility for software
You are responsible for obtaining, installing and maintaining lawful access to any software you use outside CareerKraft-provided systems, in line with the vendor’s licence terms, and for keeping that access valid for as long as you need it.
6. Software licences and subscriptions
A software licence or subscription is an agreement between you (or your organisation) and the software vendor or its authorised reseller. Its scope, price, duration, permitted use and renewal are decided by the vendor.
CareerKraft is not a party to these agreements and cannot grant, extend, transfer, guarantee or refund them.
7. Educational, student and trial licences
Many vendors offer free or discounted educational, student, community or trial versions. Eligibility, permitted use (often learning and non-commercial use only), duration and features are decided solely by the vendor.
Where we mention such programmes, we do so for information only. You must check and meet the vendor’s conditions yourself. Using an educational, student or trial licence for commercial or paid work may breach the vendor’s terms.
8. CareerKraft-owned computers
Where CareerKraft provides computers at its centres for classroom training, the software on them is made available only for supervised, instructional use during your course, on those computers.
You must not copy, download, export, record, transfer or remove any software, installer, licence file, product key or credential from these computers, or install any software on them without the trainer’s permission.
9. Corporate training
For training delivered to companies – on-site, at our centre or online – the client chooses the software and versions to be used and is responsible for holding appropriate licences for every participant and device, unless our written proposal expressly states that CareerKraft will arrange specific software access.
10. Institutional and college training
For colleges, schools, universities, government bodies, PSUs and other institutions, the institution is responsible for providing appropriately licensed software on its own systems and labs, and for complying with its own licence and campus agreements.
11. Client-provided computers
When training uses computers provided by a client or institution, CareerKraft trainers use them as end users only. The client remains responsible for their licensing, configuration, security, data and backups.
Our trainers will not bypass, disable or alter any licensing or security control on client systems.
12. Pre-installed software
Software already installed on any device we do not own is the responsibility of that device’s owner. CareerKraft does not check, and is not responsible for, the licence status of pre-installed software on such devices.
13. Third-party software
Unless stated otherwise, all software taught in our programmes is third-party software owned by its respective publishers. Its availability, features, versions, pricing and terms can change at any time without notice from us, and course content may be updated to reflect such changes.
14. Software activation
CareerKraft does not activate, register, unlock, reset or license third-party software on behalf of students or clients. Any activation must be done by the licence holder using the vendor’s official methods.
15. Product keys and credentials
CareerKraft will never ask for, collect, store, share, sell or distribute product keys, licence files, serial numbers, vendor-account credentials or passwords for third-party software.
Do not share your own keys or vendor-account passwords with trainers, staff or other students.
16. Pirated, cracked or unauthorised software
Pirated, cracked, keygen-generated, patched, illegally activated, shared-licence or otherwise unauthorised software must not be used, installed, shared or brought onto any CareerKraft computer, network, class or online session.
If such software is found, we may stop the session, decline assistance, disconnect the device from our network and take action under our Terms & Conditions, including suspension from the course.
17. No authorisation or encouragement
Nothing said, shown or shared by CareerKraft, its trainers or staff – in class, on WhatsApp or other chat, in course material or on this website – authorises or encourages anyone to use software without a valid licence.
Any such statement by an individual would be outside their authority and against this policy. Please report it to us using the contact details below.
18. Trainer assistance and troubleshooting
Trainers may help with general usage questions inside a lawfully licensed installation. They will not install, activate, crack, patch, reset trial periods of or troubleshoot unauthorised software.
Vendor-side issues – licensing servers, account access, subscriptions, billing or downloads – must be resolved directly with the vendor.
19. Demonstrations and instructional use
Software may be demonstrated in classes, free demo sessions, recordings, screenshots, social posts or website content purely for teaching and illustration. A demonstration does not grant you any licence or right to use that software.
20. No verification or certification of licences
CareerKraft does not audit, verify, certify or warrant the licence status of software used by any student, client or institution. Admission, attendance, completion or the issue of a certificate is not confirmation that any software you use is properly licensed.
21. Third-party EULAs and vendor terms
Your use of any software is governed by its End User Licence Agreement (EULA), subscription terms and acceptable-use policies. If anything in our material appears to conflict with those terms, the vendor’s terms prevail for your use of that software.
22. Vendor trademarks and intellectual property
AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Siemens NX, Ansys, STAAD.Pro, Primavera, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI, TallyPrime, SAP, AWS, MATLAB and every other product name mentioned are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.
They are used only to identify the subject matter of our training. All rights in the software, documentation, icons and interfaces remain with their owners.
23. Software vendor independence / no affiliation
Unless expressly stated, CareerKraft is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by any software vendor.
Certificates issued through the CADD Centre, Livewire or SynergySBS networks are training certificates of those networks, not vendor certifications, unless stated otherwise.
24. External download links
Links to vendor websites, student-licence portals or download pages are provided for convenience only. Download software only from the vendor’s official website or an authorised reseller.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, third-party websites or downloads, including their content, security, availability or terms.
25. User responsibility
You are responsible for complying with this policy, with applicable law – including the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 – and with the licence terms of any software you use, and for the consequences of using software without a valid licence.
26. Corporate client representations
By engaging CareerKraft for corporate or institutional training, the client confirms that it holds valid licences for all software and systems it provides or asks us to use, and that their use for the agreed training is permitted under those licences.
27. Student acknowledgement
By enrolling, attending a demo class or using our training, you confirm that you have read this policy, understand that course fees do not include software or licences unless stated in writing, and agree to use only lawfully licensed or authorised software.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian accepts this policy on your behalf.
28. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, a student or client who breaches this policy or a vendor’s licence terms agrees to indemnify CareerKraft, its partners, trainers and staff against third-party claims, penalties, losses and reasonable costs arising from that breach, including the use of unlicensed or unauthorised software.
This does not apply to any loss caused by CareerKraft’s own negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of its obligations.
29. Limitation of liability
Subject to applicable law, CareerKraft is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from third-party software, licences or vendor decisions, from data loss on devices it does not own, or from a student’s or client’s licensing choices.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, CareerKraft’s total liability in connection with a programme is limited to the fees paid to CareerKraft for that programme.
30. No exclusion of non-excludable statutory liability
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability, right or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
31. Copyright and IP complaints
If you believe that content on our website or material used in our training infringes your copyright, trademark or other intellectual property, please write to us with: the work concerned, where it appears (URL or location), your contact details, and a statement that the complaint is made in good faith.
We will review every complaint and, where appropriate, remove, correct or replace the material.
32. Notice-and-contact mechanism

We aim to acknowledge reports within 7 working days and to keep the identity of anyone reporting in good faith confidential, subject to law.
33. Policy changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, vendor terms or our programmes. The version and effective date below show the current version. Updates apply from the date they are published; material changes affecting current enrolments will be communicated to enrolled students.
34. Severability
If any part of this policy is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect, and the affected part is applied to the fullest extent permitted by law.
35. Governing law and jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory rights you have to approach a consumer commission or other forum, the courts at Vellore, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction over disputes arising from it.
36. Entire agreement / relationship with enrolment terms
This policy forms part of your agreement with CareerKraft together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, your enrolment form and any written proposal or contract.
