Primavera Course for Tiruvannamalai Students – online, hybrid or classroom

Primavera P6 is project planning and scheduling software from Oracle. Planners use it to break a project into a Work Breakdown Structure, create activities, link them with relationships, and calculate the critical path.

Shops, traders, hotels and service businesses around the temple town keep accounts and GST work in demand, which makes Tally, Excel and office skills very practical in Tiruvannamalai.

The temple economy keeps lodges, restaurants, shops and travel agents busy around the year, and each needs billing, GST filing and stock records. Arani’s silk traders and Cheyyar’s industrial suppliers add further accounting demand.

After Primavera, roles such as Planning Engineer, Project Scheduler and Project Controls Engineer are the usual targets; from Tiruvannamalai the nearest employers are the temple town’s lodges and shops, Arani’s silk traders and Cheyyar’s suppliers. By the end of the course you will be able to set up projects, EPS, OBS and calendars in Primavera P6 and build a Work Breakdown Structure and create activities.

Working through Primavera, you will learn to set up projects, EPS, OBS and calendars in Primavera P6, build a Work Breakdown Structure and create activities and link activities with relationships, lead and lag and schedule using the critical path.

You will work with Primavera P6 Professional (client), Primavera P6 Web (EPPM) and Critical Path Method scheduling; the Certificate in Primavera Project Management programme includes modules such as Primavera Foundation – Introduction and Projects, Calendars and Work Breakdown Structure and Activities.

Roles to aim for include Planning Engineer – prepares and updates project schedules in Primavera P6 and Project Scheduler – builds detailed schedules and look-ahead plans for sites. Basic computer use is needed. An engineering or project background helps you relate to the examples, but the Foundation topics start from the basics of projects and scheduling.

Learners also join this course from Arani, Cheyyar, Polur, Vandavasi, Chengam, Kalasapakkam and Kilpennathur – most choose hybrid batches and come to Vellore only for labs, doubt clearing and project reviews.
