After Primavera, roles such as Planning Engineer, Project Scheduler and Project Controls Engineer are the usual targets; from Tirupattur the nearest employers are Ambur and Vaniyambadi export houses, leather traders and Jolarpet’s transport firms. By the end of the course you will be able to set up projects, EPS, OBS and calendars in Primavera P6 and build a Work Breakdown Structure and create activities.

Working through Primavera, you will learn to apply constraints, codes and user defined fields to organise a schedule, define roles and resources, assign them and level resources and set baselines, update progress and track performance with earned value.

You will work with Resource analysis and levelling, Baselines and progress updates and Earned Value Analysis; the Proficient in Primavera with PPM Concepts programme includes modules such as Primavera Foundation – Introduction and Projects, Calendars and Work Breakdown Structure and Activities.

Roles to aim for include Project Controls Engineer – tracks progress, cost and earned value against baselines and Project Coordinator – coordinates activities, resources and reports across teams. Basic computer use is needed. An engineering or project background helps you relate to the examples, but the Foundation topics start from the basics of projects and scheduling.

Learners also join this course from Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpet, Natrampalli, Alangayam and Kandhili – most choose hybrid batches and come to Vellore only for labs, doubt clearing and project reviews.
