01What is C++

What is C++? In plain words.

C++ is a programming language created by Bjarne Stroustrup as an extension of C. It keeps C's speed and low-level control and adds object-oriented programming – classes, inheritance and polymorphism – plus the Standard Template Library (STL) of ready-made containers and algorithms. This mix lets you write large, organised programs that still run fast.

C++ is used where performance matters: game engines, graphics and CAD software, trading systems, browsers, telecom equipment, automotive software and embedded devices. It is also a favourite language for coding interviews and competitive programming because of the STL. Employers in product, embedded and systems companies look for developers who understand OOP, memory and the STL well.

C++ and OOP are core subjects in engineering and computer science courses at colleges across Vellore and Katpadi, and a strong C++ base helps in placement coding rounds. It also supports embedded and automotive software roles in Chennai, Hosur and Bengaluru.

What you will be able to do

  • Write C++ programs with functions, namespaces, operators and control statements
  • Use arrays, strings, pointers and dynamic memory safely
  • Design classes that apply encapsulation, abstraction and inheritance
  • Apply function and operator overloading and polymorphism
  • Use friend functions, member function types and lvalue and rvalue references
  • Store and process data with STL sequence and associative containers and iterators
  • Find and fix errors with debugging methods and handle exceptions with try-throw-catch
  • Build multi-file projects with the GNU compiler, static and dynamic libraries and a makefile

02Why learn it

Why learn C++ now?

Six reasons students and professionals in Vellore district pick this skill.

Speed with structure

C++ runs close to the hardware yet lets you organise code into classes, which is why performance-critical software uses it.

Master OOP properly

Inheritance, polymorphism, friend functions and operator overloading are taught in depth – ideas that also apply to Java and C#.

STL for interviews

Sequence and associative containers with iterators help you solve coding-round problems quickly.

Professional debugging

You learn to tell compile-time, run-time and logical errors apart and fix them methodically.

Real build workflow

Compiling with the GNU compiler, creating static and dynamic libraries and writing makefiles mirrors industry practice.

Path to embedded and automotive

Modern automotive and embedded software increasingly uses C++, so it widens your career options.

03Who can learn

09FAQ

C++ course – your questions answered

12 answers about levels, duration, eligibility, certificate, placement support and fees.

Still have a question? The counsellor at the centre you prefer replies on WhatsApp.

Ask on WhatsApp
What is C++ and how is it different from C?

C++ builds on C and adds object-oriented programming (classes, inheritance, polymorphism), exceptions and the Standard Template Library. You can still write fast, low-level code, but large programs are easier to organise.

Who is eligible to learn C++?

School students after 12th, college students, diploma holders and working professionals can join. Basic computer use is enough; knowing C helps but is not compulsory.

How long are the C++ courses?

Both Essential in C++ and the Course on C++ are 40 hours, planned at about 2 hours per day. The total weeks depend on your batch schedule.

Which should I choose – Essential in C++ or Course on C++?

They cover the same topics. Essential in C++ is a CADD Centre programme and Course on C++ is from Livewire; the counsellor will help you choose by timing and certificate.

Can I take the C++ course online or in hybrid mode?

Yes. C++ classes run in Classroom, Online or Hybrid mode, depending on trainer availability for your batch. The counsellor at your chosen centre will confirm which modes are open when you enquire.

Is there a free demo class?

You can ask for a demo or a counselling session before you join. Message your chosen centre on WhatsApp and the counsellor will arrange a time that suits you.

Will I get a certificate after the C++ course?

Yes. On completing the programme and its assessments you receive a course-completion certificate – from CADD Centre for Essential in C++ or from Livewire for the Course on C++. Your project work is also worth showing to employers alongside the certificate.

Do you provide placement support?

Yes, we offer placement support: help with your resume, mock interviews and sharing job leads. We do not promise or guarantee a job – your skills, projects and interview performance decide the outcome.

What is the fee for the C++ course?

Fees change with the programme, mode and current offers, so we do not publish a fixed amount. The counsellor at your chosen centre will share the current fee, any offers and EMI options on WhatsApp.

Do I need a laptop?

Lab computers are provided for classroom sessions. For home practice and online classes, any laptop that can run a C++ compiler and IDE will do.

What jobs and salary can I expect with C++?

C++ skills lead to roles such as C++ Developer, Software Engineer Trainee or Embedded C++ Developer. Freshers typically start around ₹2.4–4.5 LPA, higher in metros and product companies; figures are indicative only.

Which centre should I join and what are the timings?

All courses run at all 3 centres – Katpadi (Near Aascars Cinemas, Katpadi), Vellore (CSI Complex, Anna Salai, near Raja Theatre) and Ranipet (Krishnagiri Trunk Road, near SBI, Muthukadai). Centres are open Monday to Saturday 9:30 am–6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am–2:00 pm; pick the one closest to you.
