02Inside the course
What the C++ Programming internship builds on
C++ is a programming language created by Bjarne Stroustrup as an extension of C. It keeps C's speed and low-level control and adds object-oriented programming – classes, inheritance and polymorphism – plus the Standard Template Library (STL) of ready-made containers and algorithms.
Working through C++, you will learn to write C++ programs with functions, namespaces, operators and control statements, use arrays, strings, pointers and dynamic memory safely and design classes that apply encapsulation, abstraction and inheritance.
You will work with C++ IDE, GNU C++ compiler (g++) and Standard Template Library (STL); the Course on C++ programme includes modules such as Introduction to C++, Functions, Namespaces and Operators and Control Statements.
Roles to aim for include C++ Developer – builds and maintains applications and components in C++ and Software Engineer Trainee – joins product or services companies where C++ and OOP are tested. No prior programming is strictly required, as the course starts from basics. Knowing C, or completing our C course first, makes the pointer and memory topics much easier.

What is C++ and how is it different from C?
C++ builds on C and adds object-oriented programming (classes, inheritance, polymorphism), exceptions and the Standard Template Library. You can still write fast, low-level code, but large programs are easier to organise.
Who is eligible to learn C++?
School students after 12th, college students, diploma holders and working professionals can join. Basic computer use is enough; knowing C helps but is not compulsory.
