ETABS Course in Vellore, Katpadi & Ranipet

Model multi-storey buildings, apply loads, run analysis and design concrete and steel members with ETABS.

2 levels40–80 h181 topics3 centresClassroom · Online · Hybrid

01What is ETABS

What is ETABS? In plain words.

ETABS is a structural analysis and design program from Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI), built specially for buildings. You model a structure storey by storey using grids, beams, columns, slabs and walls, assign materials and sections, apply dead, live, wind and seismic loads, and run the analysis. ETABS then shows deflections, bending moment and shear force diagrams, and checks and designs concrete, steel and shear-wall members against selected design codes.

Structural consultants, builders and design offices use ETABS for residential towers, commercial complexes, hospitals, schools and industrial buildings. Because most multi-storey buildings in India now need proper lateral load and earthquake checks, employers look for engineers who can build a clean ETABS model, understand load combinations and read the results sensibly. Knowing ETABS together with the theory behind it makes a civil graduate far more useful in a design office.

Growing towns such as Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet are seeing more multi-storey homes, hospitals, college buildings and industrial sheds, all of which need proper structural design. Civil graduates from local colleges who know ETABS can work with design offices here or move to Chennai and Bengaluru, where demand is higher.

  • Run analysis and interpret deformed shapes, BMD, SFD and shell stresses
  • Design concrete frames, shear walls, steel frames, connections and joists
  • Produce detailing drawings, export results and create design reports

02Why learn it

Why learn ETABS now?

Six reasons students and professionals in Vellore district pick this skill.

Made for buildings

ETABS understands storeys, diaphragms and shear walls, so building models are faster to create and check than in general-purpose tools.

Asked for by design offices

Structural consultancies across India list ETABS among the software they expect junior design engineers to know.

Links theory to practice

You see bending moments, shear forces and deflections you studied in college appear on a real building model.

Concrete and steel design

The course covers concrete frame, shear-wall, steel frame, steel connection and steel joist design in one tool.

Earthquake and dynamic analysis

The Proficient level introduces response spectrum, pushover and time history analysis used for seismic checks.

Clear reports and drawings

You learn to export detailing drawings and prepare design reports that a senior engineer can review.

03Who can learn

Who can join this course?

BE/BTech Civil students

Adds building design practice to your structural analysis and RCC coursework.

ME/MTech Structural Engineering students

Supports thesis work and prepares you for design office roles.

Diploma Civil students

Helps you understand how building structures are modelled and checked beyond drawings.

Site engineers moving into design
