01What is Lumion
What is Lumion? In plain words.
Lumion is real-time 3D rendering software made by Act-3D in the Netherlands. Architects and designers import models from SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and similar tools, then add materials, landscape, trees, people, lighting and weather. Because Lumion renders in real time, you can see the finished look while you work and produce still images, 360° panoramas and walkthrough videos much faster than with traditional offline renderers.
Architecture firms, interior design studios, real estate developers and marketing agencies use Lumion to show clients how a building or interior will look before it is built. Builders use its images for brochures and hoardings, and designers use sketch and watercolour styles for early concept presentations. Employers value people who can take a raw model and turn it into a convincing, well-lit scene quickly.

How long is the Lumion course?
Essential in Lumion is a 40-hour course, usually in 2-hour sessions that alternate between demonstration and practice. The counsellor will share current batch timings.
Do I need to know SketchUp or Revit first?
It helps, because Lumion renders models created in other software. If you have not modelled before, the counsellor can suggest taking SketchUp or Revit before or along with Lumion.
Can I learn Lumion online or in hybrid mode?
Yes. Classroom, online and hybrid modes are offered depending on trainer availability. For online learning you will need a computer that can run Lumion smoothly.
Is a free demo class available?
