Giga-project contractors and consultants
Structural, BIM and scheduling roles.
Vision 2030 giga-projects, Aramco and the Jubail and Yanbu industrial cities all need design, planning and plant skills. Learn them live from India, two and a half hours ahead of Riyadh.
01Saudi Arabia
The kingdom’s national transformation programme has put NEOM, the Red Sea developments, Qiddiya and Diriyah on the building agenda, while Aramco, SABIC and the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu keep petrochemical and process plants running. Each project chain employs structural, piping, electrical and planning staff and a long tail of contractors and subcontractors.
Learners from Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province typically study after shifts or on the weekend break. India is two and a half hours ahead of Saudi time, so a mid-evening Indian class falls in the early evening locally.
Structural, BIM and scheduling roles.
Piping, electrical and instrumentation design and documentation.
CAD, automation and maintenance planning.
02Courses that fit
Plant piping layout used by Gulf oil, gas and petrochemical contractors.
40 hStructural analysis for industrial and building frames.
40–80 hTall-building analysis relevant to large urban projects.
40–80 hScheduling on multi-package mega-projects.
40–104 hAutomation maintenance in process plants.

At around seven hours a week, alongside college or work. Faster or slower is fine; finish each project before moving on.
05Your learning path
You will learn to
Project to build: Isometrics, spools and MTO. Generate pipe isometrics, break them into spools and produce pipe and tube MTO reports.
Tools covered: Report and MTO generation, Equipment application and parametric equipment, Design Explorer, Draft manager, Clash and data consistency checks.
Foundation level: Mechanical and chemical engineers, diploma holders and piping draughtsmen who want to start 3D plant piping design.
You will learn to
Project to build: G+3 RCC residential frame. Model a multi-storey building, apply dead, live, floor and wind loads, and design beams and columns.
Tools covered: Steel design module, RC Designer (interactive concrete design), STAAD Editor and command language, Seismic load definition and response spectrum, STAAD.Beava for bridge decks.
Professional level: Civil and structural engineers who want the full 80-hour workflow including seismic, dynamic analysis, interactive RC design and foundation design.
You will learn to
Project to build: G+4 RCC residential building. Model the grid, columns, beams and slabs, apply dead and live loads, and design the concrete frame.
Tools covered: Flat and waffle slab modelling, Steel frame, connection and joist design, Shear-wall design, Frame, slab, deck and wall sections, Pushover and time history analysis.
Foundation level: Civil students and engineers who want a 40-hour practical start in building modelling, loading, analysis and member design.
You will learn to
Project to build: Baseline and progress update. Save a baseline, enter progress for two update cycles and compare actual against planned.
Tools covered: Reports and import/export to Excel, Primavera P6 Professional (client), Progress Reporter and timesheets, Critical Path Method scheduling, Baselines and progress updates.
Master level: Planners who want an 80-hour course covering P6 client scheduling plus P6 Web scheduling, tracking and application administration.
06Careers
A structural design engineer makes sure buildings, bridges, towers and industrial structures stand safely under their own weight, people, wind and earthquakes.
Day to day: check contractor queries and support site visits; model buildings and structures in ETABS or STAAD.Pro.
Skills employers ask for: ETABS modelling for multi-storey buildings; STAAD.Pro modelling and design; Structural analysis and mechanics fundamentals.
Where careers start: Graduate / Trainee Engineer.
A piping designer plans how pipes, valves, pumps and equipment are arranged inside refineries, chemical plants, power stations, water treatment plants and pharma units.
Day to day: study P&IDs, equipment layouts and line lists for a project; extract piping isometrics and general-arrangement drawings.
Skills employers ask for: AutoCAD 2D piping drafting; PDMS 3D plant modelling; Pipe fittings, flanges, valves and pipe classes.
Where careers start: Piping Draughtsman.
A planning engineer, also called a project planner, builds and maintains the schedule that tells everyone what must happen, in what order and by when.
Day to day: update weekly progress and analyse the critical path; analyse delays and support extension-of-time claims.
Skills employers ask for: Primavera P6 scheduling; Work breakdown structure and activity planning; Earned value and progress measurement.
Where careers start: Junior Planning Engineer.
Both tools build schedules, track progress and manage resources, but they suit different projects and employers. Here is how to choose the right one first.

Ask on WhatsAppPDMS with AutoCAD is the usual pairing for piping layout and drafting work.
Yes. Anyone with a stable internet connection can join live online batches from any city.
The kingdom’s national transformation programme has put NEOM, the Red Sea developments, Qiddiya and Diriyah on the building agenda, while Aramco, SABIC and the A sensible order is PDMS (Piping Design) first, then STAAD.Pro once you are comfortable.
Civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, diploma holders, architects, project coordinators and management students can join. Basic computer skills are enough; project or site experience helps.
Yes. STAAD.Pro training is offered in classroom, online or hybrid mode, depending on trainer availability at your chosen centre. The counsellor will confirm which batches and modes are open when you enquire.
Yes. CareerKraft runs live, trainer-led online and hybrid batches with the same syllabus, projects and certificate as classroom batches, so learners in Saudi Arabia do not have to relocate.
