01About the course

What you will learn in ETABS

ETABS is a structural analysis and design program from Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI), built specially for buildings. You model a structure storey by storey using grids, beams, columns, slabs and walls, assign materials and sections, apply dead, live, wind and seismic loads, and run the analysis. ETABS then shows deflections, bending moment and shear force diagrams, and checks and designs concrete, steel and shear-wall members against selected design codes.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want ETABS taught live by a trainer.

You need basic computer skills and a civil engineering background. Knowledge of structural analysis, RCC and steel design basics is strongly recommended so that you can understand the results.

05Projects

Practice projects

G+4 RCC residential building

Model the grid, columns, beams and slabs, apply dead and live loads, and design the concrete frame.

Shear-wall building

Add shear walls to a multi-storey model, run the analysis and check the wall design results.

Steel industrial frame

Build a braced steel frame, set lateral displacement targets and complete steel frame and connection design.

Flat slab commercial floor

Model a flat slab system with proper diaphragm settings and review slab behaviour under load.
