Choose Essential in AutoCAD (40 hours) if you mainly need 2D drafting for plans or machine drawings. Choose Proficient in AutoCAD (80 hours) if you want the full skill set, including dynamic blocks, parametric constraints, xrefs, 3D modelling and AutoLISP automation. After AutoCAD, civil learners often move to Revit or Civil 3D, and mechanical learners to SolidWorks or CATIA.
