01About the course

What you will learn in Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) is about connecting everyday devices – sensors, lights, motors, meters – to the internet so they can send data and be controlled remotely. A typical IoT system has a sensor node such as an Arduino or NodeMCU, a network link over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, a gateway such as a Raspberry Pi, a cloud platform that stores the data, and a phone or web app that shows it.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want Internet of Things taught live by a trainer.

A basic understanding of electronic circuits and microcontrollers, and of the internet, cloud and networking, is helpful. The course starts with a short electronics refresher.
