Ankleshwar chemical estate
Piping, instrumentation and safety paperwork for the estate’s units.
The Bharuch–Ankleshwar–Dahej corridor is one of India’s densest chemical and petrochemical belts. Learn the piping, automation and documentation skills its plants use.
01Bharuch and Dahej
Ankleshwar’s industrial estate hosts hundreds of chemical and pharma-intermediate units, Dahej adds a petrochemical zone and an LNG terminal, and Bharuch’s fertiliser and dye plants complete the cluster.
Plant engineers and contractors work with piping, instrumentation and safety documents daily, and many want to move from operator to design or planning roles.

05Careers
A piping designer plans how pipes, valves, pumps and equipment are arranged inside refineries, chemical plants, power stations, water treatment plants and pharma units.
Day to day: resolve clashes with civil, structural and electrical teams in model reviews; route pipelines and place valves and supports in the 3D PDMS model.
Skills employers ask for: Equipment layout and nozzle orientation basics; Piping codes and standards awareness (ASME B31); Piping isometrics and material take-off.
Where careers start: Piping Draughtsman.
A PLC / automation engineer designs, programs and maintains the control systems that run machines and production lines.
Day to day: read electrical drawings and understand machine sequences; troubleshoot faults and improve machine uptime.
Skills employers ask for: Sensors, actuators and field instruments; Variable frequency drives; PLC programming (ladder logic, timers, counters).
Where careers start: Trainee / Service Engineer.
An electrical design engineer prepares the drawings and documents that show how electrical systems are built and wired.
Day to day: calculate cable sizes and protection ratings; generate wire numbers, terminal plans and bill of materials.
Skills employers ask for: Documentation and revision control; AutoCAD Electrical schematics and reports; Wiring harness design basics.
Where careers start: Electrical Draughtsman / Trainee.

Still have a question? Message us on WhatsApp.
Ask on WhatsAppPDMS with AutoCAD-based drawing is the usual step; PLC suits automation roles.
Evening and weekend batches suit shift patterns; recordings cover gaps.
Ankleshwar’s industrial estate hosts hundreds of chemical and pharma-intermediate units, Dahej adds a petrochemical zone and an LNG terminal, and Bharuch’s fert A sensible order is PDMS (Piping Design) first, then PLC & SCADA once you are comfortable.
Yes. Many running projects still use PDMS, and E3D shares the same database structure and many concepts, so PDMS skills transfer well to E3D.
Essential in PDMS is a 40-hour programme with alternating theory and practice sessions. The weekly schedule is agreed with your chosen centre.
Yes. CareerKraft runs live, trainer-led online and hybrid batches with the same syllabus, projects and certificate as classroom batches, so learners in Bharuch and Dahej do not have to relocate.
