01About the course

What you will learn in Ansys

Ansys is engineering simulation software made by Ansys Inc. (now part of Synopsys). It lets an engineer test a design on the computer before any metal is cut. Ansys Workbench handles structural work – stress, deflection, vibration, buckling, heat and fatigue – using the finite element method (FEA). Ansys Fluent handles computational fluid dynamics (CFD), showing how air, water or gas flows through and around a product and how heat moves with it.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want Ansys taught live by a trainer.

Basic computer use and an engineering background are expected. Knowing strength of materials, heat transfer or fluid mechanics basics and one CAD tool will help you learn faster.

At a glance

  • 3 programme levels: 40–80 h
  • Live online, hybrid or offline in India
  • Projects assessed before certification
  • Certificate from the CADD Centre network
  • Batches fixed around your time zone

02Outcomes

Skills you will be able to show

  • Explain how FEA works – elements, nodes, stiffness matrix, boundary conditions and key assumptions
  • Create or clean up geometry in DesignModeler and SpaceClaim for analysis
  • Assign materials from Engineering Data and set up contacts in assemblies
  • Generate global and local meshes and fix common meshing problems
  • Run static structural, modal, buckling, thermal and fatigue analyses in Workbench
  • Set up a Fluent CFD case with models, materials, cell zones and boundary conditions

05Projects

Practice projects

Pressure vessel stress check

Model a pressure vessel, mesh it and find the peak stress and deformation under internal pressure.

Connecting rod modal study

Find the natural frequencies and mode shapes of a connecting rod and discuss how to avoid resonance.

Disc brake rotor thermal study

Run a steady-state thermal analysis on a car brake rotor and read the temperature distribution.

Column buckling

Compare buckling loads for fixed–free and pinned–pinned columns against hand calculations.

06How online works

How the Ansys course runs online

Pick the mode that matches where you are and what you can travel for.

Live online

Trainer-led sessions on your own computer. Same syllabus, project and certificate as classroom batches. Evening, early-morning or weekend slots in your time zone.

Hybrid

Part online, part in the lab. Take lab sessions at Vellore, Katpadi or Ranipet when you visit India, and the rest online. Depends on trainer and lab availability.

100% offline in India

Learn at our centres on any date that suits you and the trainer. Fast-track schedules possible. Partner-centre options in other cities are explored case by case.
