01About the course

What you will learn in Creo

Creo Parametric is 3D CAD software from PTC, the company behind the earlier Pro/ENGINEER. It builds parts from sketches and features that are driven by dimensions, so changing one value updates the part, the assembly and the drawing together. Designers use it to model machined and plastic parts, sheet metal, surfaced shapes and large assemblies, and then to create detailed 2D drawings and bills of materials for manufacturing.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want Creo taught live by a trainer.

Basic computer skills are enough to start. Knowledge of engineering drawing and orthographic projection makes the course much easier.

05Projects

Practice projects

Compression spring and threaded bolt

Use helical sweeps to model a spring with variable pitch and a bolt with cosmetic and modeled threads.

Flange family table

Build one flange driven by relations and create a family table of standard sizes.

Gear box or vice assembly

Model all parts, assemble them with constraints, check interference and create an exploded view.

Sheet metal electrical enclosure

Design a bent enclosure with flanges, relief and punches, then create its flat pattern.
