01About the course
What you will learn in BIM
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a way of designing, building and managing construction projects using shared, data-rich 3D models. Instead of separate drawings, architects, structural engineers and MEP engineers build intelligent models that carry quantities, materials and schedules. BIM is a process, supported by software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and Civil 3D, and by standards such as ISO 19650 that define how project information is named, shared and delivered.
This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want BIM taught live by a trainer.
Basic computer skills are needed for all programmes. For the modelling programmes, a background in architecture, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering and some AutoCAD knowledge will help. The BIM Concepts certificate is theory-focused and needs no software experience.

How many hours is the BIM course?
BIM is offered at 7 levels (40–80 h): Essential in BIM for Architects – 40 hours; Essential in Drawings for BIM – 40 hours; Essential in Landscaping for BIM – 40 hours; Essential in MEP for BIM – 40 hours; Essential in Structural Design for BIM – 40 hours.
Do I need to buy the software?
We teach; we do not supply software. Use your own licence or an educational or trial licence where the maker offers one. Our Software & Licensing Policy explains the rules.
Can I attend some classes in person in India?
Yes. Hybrid and fully offline options are available at our Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet centres on dates agreed in advance, depending on trainer and lab availability.

Will I get a certificate?
