01About the course
What you will learn in MX Road
MX Road (MXROAD) is a string-based road design program from Bentley Systems, whose features have since been carried into Bentley's OpenRoads range. It works on 3D models made of named strings that represent the ground, centrelines, edges and kerbs. Engineers load survey data, build a triangulated ground model, design horizontal and vertical alignments, add carriageways, superelevation, junctions and earthworks, and then produce cross sections, quantities and plan drawings.
This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want MX Road taught live by a trainer.
Basic computer skills and a civil engineering background are needed. An understanding of highway geometry, levels and chainage from your transportation engineering subject will help.

Can I attend some classes in person in India?
Yes. Hybrid and fully offline options are available at our Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet centres on dates agreed in advance, depending on trainer and lab availability.
