01About the course

What you will learn in V-Ray

V-Ray is a rendering engine made by Chaos. It works inside 3D programs such as 3ds Max and SketchUp and turns a plain 3D model into a realistic image by simulating how light bounces, reflects and passes through materials. Designers use its lights, global illumination, physical camera and material system to produce photo-real interior and exterior views. Architectural visualisation studios, interior designers, real estate marketing teams and product designers use V-Ray to show a project before it is built.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want V-Ray taught live by a trainer.

You should already be comfortable modelling in 3ds Max (or a similar 3D program), since V-Ray is used inside it. Basic knowledge of interiors or architecture helps you judge lighting and materials.
