01About the course

What you will learn in SketchUp

SketchUp is a 3D modelling program from Trimble. It is known for its simple push/pull approach: you draw a shape and pull it into 3D. Architects, interior designers and civil engineers use it to model buildings, rooms, furniture and sites quickly, apply materials and shadows, and then turn the model into dimensioned drawings with SketchUp LayOut. Architecture practices, interior design studios, modular furniture makers, builders and landscape designers use SketchUp to show clients a design before anything is built.

This page is for learners outside Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet – NRIs, professionals in the Gulf and other countries, and students elsewhere in India who want SketchUp taught live by a trainer.

Basic computer skills are enough to start. An understanding of plans and elevations, or some AutoCAD, helps but is not required.
