Pump, motor and foundry units
Mechanical design, CAD and CNC programming for general engineering shops.
Coimbatore’s foundries, pump and motor makers, textile mills and growing IT parks make it Tamil Nadu’s second great job market. Learn the skills they hire for, online from Vellore.
01Coimbatore
The city is often called the Manchester of South India for its textile mills, but its modern strength is engineering: pump and motor manufacturers, foundries, machine-tool builders and a very large base of small precision shops. A growing set of IT and engineering-services campuses, including the Saravanampatti and Peelamedu belt, now adds software jobs.
Coimbatore is far from our centres, so learners here nearly always choose live online batches. Evening classes pair well with the long shifts common in the city’s workshops, and a hybrid visit can be planned if lab practice matters to you.

Electrical, automation and accounts roles.
Software and testing teams hiring for Python, Java and SQL.
Job-shop owners look for multi-skilled CAD and CNC staff.

05Careers
A mechanical design engineer turns a product idea into accurate 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Day to day: select materials, fasteners and standard parts to balance strength and cost; create 3D part models and assemblies from sketches, specifications or customer inputs.
Skills employers ask for: 2D drafting and drawing standards (ISO/ASME); Basic strength-of-materials calculations; GD&T and tolerance stack-up basics.
Where careers start: Trainee / CAD Draughtsman.
A CNC / CAM programmer converts a 3D model into toolpaths and G-code that a CNC lathe, milling machine or machining centre can follow.
Day to day: support machine setters during first-piece runs and optimise cycle time; simulate programs to check for gouges, collisions and missed material.
Skills employers ask for: 2D and 3D CAM toolpath creation; G-code and M-code basics; Mastercam or NX CAM operations.
Where careers start: CNC Operator / Trainee.
A CFD engineer uses computational fluid dynamics to predict how air, water, oil or gas flows through and around products.
Day to day: post-process velocity, pressure and temperature contours, streamlines and forces; run steady and transient simulations and monitor convergence.
Skills employers ask for: Convergence checks and mesh-independence studies; ANSYS Fluent setup, solving and post-processing; Interpreting results and spotting non-physical answers.
Where careers start: CFD Trainee.
CAE engineers test designs on the computer before they are built. Here is what the job involves, which tools matter and how to prepare for it.

Yes. After completing the programme and its assessment you receive a CADD Centre course certificate through CareerKraft, its authorised training partner.
No, centre systems are available during class. A Windows laptop helps if you want to practise with simulators at home.
Yes, from home. Classes are live with a trainer, recorded practice files are shared after each session, and the certificate is the same whether you learn online or in a classroom.
