Artificial Intelligence Course in Vellore

Our Vellore centre on Anna Salai, near Raja Theatre, is in the middle of the city – easy to reach from the bus stands for a Artificial Intelligence class before or after college or work. AI covers several branches: machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, deep learning and reinforcement learning, each suited to a different kind of problem. AI now sits inside everyday products: face unlock, spam filters, chatbots, number-plate readers, quality inspection cameras in factories and medical image screening.

The course runs as 1 programme (68 h), from foundation to advanced level, so you can start where you are and go as far as you need. By the end you will be able to explain what AI is, its history and its main applications and apply statistics essentials needed for AI and machine learning. The same syllabus and certificate apply at Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet.

After Artificial Intelligence, roles such as AI/ML Trainee Engineer, Junior Machine Learning Engineer and Computer Vision Engineer (Junior) are the usual targets; from Vellore the nearest employers are Vellore’s hospitals, retail chains and leather and footwear units and the Bengaluru-highway belt.

Working through Artificial Intelligence, you will learn to train supervised machine learning models for AI problems, process images and video with OpenCV, including image segmentation and perform text mining with NLTK using tokenising, stemming, lemmatisation, POS tagging and chunking.

You will work with TensorFlow, Keras and Theano; the Course on Artificial Intelligence programme includes modules such as Computer Vision with OpenCV, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning Foundations.

Roles to aim for include Computer Vision Engineer (Junior) – works on image and video applications such as detection and inspection and NLP Developer (Junior) – builds text processing features like chatbots, search and sentiment analysis. Basic computer skills and school-level maths are needed. Some programming exposure helps, though Python is taught from the beginning.

Vellore’s colleges and healthcare institutions both generate demand for people who can handle data, software testing and web work. Many learners come straight from work or college to the Anna Salai centre, and others join online from the surrounding districts.
