What does a EV Design Engineer do?
An EV design engineer works on the systems that make electric vehicles run: the battery pack, battery management system, traction motor, controller, charger and the wiring that links them. Depending on the team, the job may involve sizing a battery for range, selecting cells and cooling, choosing a motor and gear ratio, packaging parts in the vehicle or preparing electrical schematics. It blends electrical, mechanical and software thinking.
