01What is Coding for Kids (C, C++, Java, Python)

What is Coding for Kids (C, C++, Java, Python)? In plain words.

Coding means giving a computer clear, step-by-step instructions in a language it understands. Our New Gen Literacy Coding programmes let your child learn one of four real programming languages: Python, Java, C or C++. Each course is about 24–25 hours and moves from the very first program to loops, functions and a small project your child builds on their own.

Coding is now seen as a basic skill, much like reading and maths, because it teaches children to break big problems into small steps and to keep trying until something works. Python is friendly and visual, with turtle drawings, games and simple apps. Java adds windows, buttons and forms. C and C++ show how programs work closer to the machine. Whichever language your child starts with, the thinking skills carry over to the others.

Vellore, Katpadi and Ranipet have many schools and a strong engineering culture around VIT and nearby colleges, and all three CareerKraft centres run kids' coding batches. Weekend and holiday timings make it easier to fit around school.

02Why learn it

Why learn Coding for Kids (C, C++, Java, Python) now?

Six reasons parents choose this course for their child.

Choose the right language

Four options let you match the course to your child's age, interest and school syllabus.

Learning by making

Children draw with turtle graphics, build calculators and forms, and write simple games.

Logical thinking

Conditions, loops and functions train your child to plan and reason step by step.

Helps with school computer science

Many school boards teach Python, Java or C++, so this gives a head start.

Finishes with a project

Every course ends with a demo or mini project your child can show.

Short and focused

About 24–25 hours, ideal for school holidays or weekend batches.

03Who can learn

Who can join this course?

Complete beginners

The Python course is a gentle first step with lots of visual results.

Children who like games and drawing

Turtle graphics, animation and game topics make coding fun.

Students preparing for school computer science

Choose the language taught in your child's school to build confidence.

Older students who want a challenge

C and C++ show how programs manage memory, data and files.

Children interested in apps

Java and Python GUI topics let them build windows with buttons and forms.

Kids who finished another coding course

Learning a second language strengthens what they already know.

Before you start: Your child should read simple English and use a keyboard and mouse. No coding experience is needed. For C and C++, children who are a little older or who have tried Python first usually find it easier; the counsellor can advise.

05Choose your level

Which level is right for me?

For most first-time coders, Python is the easiest and most visual start. Choose Java if your child's school uses it or they want to build desktop apps. The C and C++ programmes share one syllabus that starts with C and moves into C++ and classes; they suit children who are ready for a more detailed language, and the counsellor can suggest which of the two fits your child.

Ask on WhatsApp
What is the Coding for Kids course?

It is a set of four New Gen Literacy Coding programmes in Python, Java, C and C++. Each one teaches your child to write real programs, from the basics to a small project.

What age or class is this for?

The courses are for school children who can read simple English and use a computer. Python suits most beginners, while C and C++ suit children who are a little older. The counsellor can advise based on your child's class.

How long is each course?

The C and C++ programmes are 24 hours each, and the Java and Python programmes are 25 hours each. The number of weeks depends on the batch timing.

Which language should my child learn first?

Python is usually the best first language because it is simple to read and gives quick visual results with turtle graphics and games. Choose Java or C/C++ if your child's school uses it or if they already know some Python.

What is the difference between the C and C++ programmes?

Both follow the same syllabus, which starts with C (data types, loops, functions, arrays, structures, files) and then moves to C++ (control statements, strings, dynamic memory, classes and objects), ending with a mini project in each. The counsellor can explain which suits your child.

Does my child need a laptop?

Computers are provided at the centre for classroom sessions. For online classes, your child needs a laptop or desktop with internet where the language can be installed.

What can my child do after this course?

Your child can learn a second language, move to Web Designing for Kids, or try AI Chatbot or AI Robotics for Kids. The counsellor can suggest a good next step.

Can my child attend online or in hybrid mode?

Yes. Coding for Kids can run in classroom, online or hybrid mode, depending on trainer availability. Many parents prefer classroom sessions for younger children; the counsellor will confirm the options for your batch.

Is there a free demo class?

Please ask the counsellor at your chosen centre on WhatsApp or phone about a demo session. You and your child can visit, see the classroom and meet the trainer before you decide.

Will my child get a certificate?

Yes, your child receives a course completion certificate from the authorised training partner after finishing the course. It is a nice record of what they have learned and built.

What is the fee?

The counsellor at your chosen centre shares the current fee, any offers and EMI options on WhatsApp. Fees can change, so please ask before enrolling.

Which centre can we join and what are the timings?

The course runs at all three centres: Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet. Centres are open Monday to Saturday 9:30 am–6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am–2:00 pm, so weekend and holiday batches are often possible. Message or call the centre you prefer to book.
