Resorts and marine-services firms
Maintenance, MEP and accounts roles.
Resorts, island construction and airports dominate Maldivian hiring. India is thirty minutes ahead of you, so class times feel familiar.
01the Maldives
Tourist resorts, island-reclamation and marine construction, and a growing network of airports and ports create most of the technical and hospitality jobs. Staff often work in rotating shifts on remote islands, which makes flexible, recorded learning valuable.
The Maldives is thirty minutes behind India, so live batches are easy to attend, but unreliable island connections mean recorded support is important.

05Careers
An MEP / BIM engineer models the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services of a building in 3D and makes sure they all fit together.
Day to day: run clash detection in Navisworks and prepare clash reports; produce coordinated shop drawings, sections and schedules.
Skills employers ask for: Reading architectural and structural drawings; Shop drawing and sectional detailing; MEP design concepts (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, electrical).
Where careers start: BIM Modeller (MEP).
A BIM modeller builds a detailed digital model of a building, with walls, floors, structure and services all carrying real information such as sizes, materials and quantities.
Day to day: track issues and share models with teams through BIM 360; create architectural and structural models in Revit from drawings.
Skills employers ask for: BIM concepts, LOD and ISO 19650 awareness; Navisworks clash detection and 4D simulation; Revit Architecture and Structure modelling.
Where careers start: BIM Modeller.
A highway or road design engineer plans the geometry of roads, from village link roads to national highways and expressways.
Day to day: prepare plan-and-profile and cross-section drawings; import survey data and build digital terrain models.
Skills employers ask for: Coordination with survey and site teams; Highway geometric design basics (IRC standards); Plan-and-profile drawing production.
Where careers start: Trainee / CAD Engineer.
