02Inside the course
What the Django internship builds on
Django is a free, open-source web framework written in Python. It follows the model–view–template (MVT) pattern and comes with many parts built in: an ORM for working with databases, URL routing, templates, forms, user authentication and a ready-made admin panel.
Working through Django, you will learn to install Python, Django and PyCharm and create a new Django project, explain the Django project structure and the MVC and MVT architecture and build page layouts with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Jinja2 templates and client-side JavaScript.
You will work with Python, Django framework and PyCharm Community Edition; the Course on Django programme includes modules such as Python and Django Introduction, Front-End Basics and Setting Up Django.
Roles to aim for include Python Django Developer – builds web applications and APIs using Python and Django and Back-End Developer – writes server-side logic, database models and APIs for web and mobile apps. Basic computer use is needed. The course begins with installing and introducing Python, but some prior Python or programming practice will help you keep pace.
