02Inside the course

What the Embedded Systems internship builds on

A microcontroller is a small computer on a single chip that controls a device – a washing machine, a meter, a car module or a medical monitor. Embedded C is the language used to program it.

Working through Microcontroller & Embedded C, you will learn to explain the architecture, pins, memory and registers of 8051, PIC, AVR and ARM7 LPC2148 controllers, set up and use KEIL, MPLAB and AVR Studio to write and build embedded C programs and interface LEDs, seven-segment displays, LCDs in 4-bit and 8-bit mode and 4×4 keypads.

You will work with Embedded C, 8051 and KEIL IDE and PIC16F877A with MPLAB and HI-TECH C; the Course on Advanced Microcontroller programme includes modules such as AVR Microcontroller Basics, Hardware Interfacing with ATmega16 and I2C and SPI Protocols.

Roles to aim for include Embedded Software Engineer – writes embedded C code for microcontroller-based products and Firmware Engineer – develops low-level code for drivers, peripherals and device logic. Basic digital electronics knowledge helps. The Course on Microcontroller introduces C from the start; for the Advanced Microcontroller course, some C programming and basic microcontroller exposure is recommended.

03How it runs

Four steps to your certificate

01

Orientation

Set-up, goals and a quick check of what you already know about microcontroller architecture.

02

Guided practice

Short sessions on embedded c programming and gpio, timers and interrupts, each followed by hands-on lab exercises.

03

Mini-project

Build your project step by step with trainer reviews.

04

Review & certificate

Embedded Systems internship – FAQ

Still have a question? The counsellor at the centre you prefer replies on WhatsApp.

Ask on WhatsApp
How long is the Embedded Systems internship?

The Embedded Systems internship runs for 20 hours. Weekday, weekend and fast-track batches are available.

Who should join the Embedded Systems internship?

It is best suited to ECE, EEE, E&I and mechatronics students. A counsellor can check your background in a quick call or WhatsApp chat.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes – you receive an internship completion certificate after completing the programme and the project review.

Is it a paid internship?

It is a fee-based internship course you can take while still studying, with a mini-project and certificate. It is not a job and does not include a stipend. Graduates who have completed their degree can apply for a stipend-based internship with CareerKraft on our Work with us page.

What is embedded C and microcontroller training?

It teaches you to program small computer chips that control electronic devices. You learn to write embedded C code, connect hardware such as displays and motors, and use communication protocols.

Who can join?

ECE, EEE, EIE and electronics diploma and science students, postgraduates and working technicians can join. Basic digital electronics helps.

Where can I do it?

At CareerKraft Katpadi (Near Aascars Cinemas), Vellore (Near Raja Theatre) or Ranipet (Near SBI, Muthukadai) – in classroom, online or hybrid mode.
