What is Power BI? In plain words.
Power BI is Microsoft's business intelligence tool. You use Power BI Desktop to pull data from Excel, CSV files, databases and online sources, clean it with Power Query, link tables into a data model and write DAX measures. Power BI is used to connect to business data, clean it and turn it into interactive reports and dashboards. Teams use it to track sales, expenses, stock, attendance and other key numbers without building manual Excel reports every month.
Who can join the Power BI course?
Students and graduates of any stream, working professionals and anyone comfortable with basic Excel can join. Commerce, management, computer and engineering backgrounds all do well.
How long does each Power BI level take?
The Certificate in Power BI is 30 hours, the Advanced Certificate in Data Analysis Microsoft Excel and Power BI is 54 hours, and the Course on Data Analytics using Power BI is 60 hours. Calendar duration depends on the batch schedule you choose.
Which level should I choose?
If you already know Excel well, the 30-hour Certificate is the quickest route. If your Excel is basic, the 54-hour Advanced Certificate covers Advanced Excel and VBA first. The 60-hour course suits learners who want more practice with chart types, Power Query and M language.
Can I take the Power BI course online or in hybrid mode?
Yes. Power BI training runs in Classroom, Online or Hybrid mode at CareerKraft. The mode for your batch depends on trainer availability, so confirm it with the counsellor when you enrol. Classroom batches run at all three centres.
Is there a free demo class?

Will I get a certificate?
Yes. On completing the course and its assessment, you receive a course completion certificate for the level you took. This is a training certificate, not the Microsoft PL-300 exam, which you can take separately if you wish.

What is the fee for the Power BI course?
Fees differ by level and mode, and offers change from time to time. The counsellor at your chosen centre will share the current fee, any running offers and EMI options on WhatsApp.
Do I need my own laptop?
Not for classroom batches, as the centre has lab systems. A Windows laptop is useful for practice and needed for online classes, because Power BI Desktop runs on Windows.
What jobs and salary can I expect after learning Power BI?
Common roles are MIS executive, data analyst, Power BI developer and reporting analyst. Freshers typically start around ₹2.4–4.5 LPA, with more in metros and with experience. These figures are indicative and vary by company, city and skills.
Which centre should I join, and what are the timings?
Power BI is offered at all three CareerKraft centres: Katpadi (Near Aascars Cinemas, Katpadi), Vellore (CSI Complex, Anna Salai, near Raja Theatre) and Ranipet (Krishnagiri Trunk Road, near SBI, Muthukadai). Choose the one closest to you. The centres are open Mon–Sat 9:30 am–6:30 pm and Sun 9:00 am–2:00 pm.
