What the Ansys internship builds on

Ansys is engineering simulation software made by Ansys Inc. (now part of Synopsys).

Working through Ansys (Structural & Fluent CFD), you will learn to explain how FEA works – elements, nodes, stiffness matrix, boundary conditions and key assumptions, create or clean up geometry in DesignModeler and SpaceClaim for analysis and assign materials from Engineering Data and set up contacts in assemblies.

You will work with Ansys Workbench project schematic, DesignModeler and SpaceClaim (SCDM); the Essential in Ansys programme includes modules such as Introduction to CAE and FEA, Workbench and DesignModeler and Solid Modeling Fundamentals.

Roles to aim for include CAE / FEA Engineer – builds meshes, applies loads and reports stress, deflection and life results for components and CFD Engineer – simulates fluid flow and heat transfer in pumps, ducts, heat exchangers and vehicle bodies. Basic computer use and an engineering background are expected. Knowing strength of materials, heat transfer or fluid mechanics basics and one CAD tool will help you learn faster.

03How it runs

Four steps to your certificate

01

Orientation

Set-up, goals and a quick check of what you already know about geometry and meshing.

02

Guided practice

Short sessions on static structural analysis and modal and thermal analysis, each followed by hands-on lab exercises.

03

Mini-project

Build your project step by step with trainer reviews.

04

Review & certificate

Present your work, get feedback and receive your completion certificate.

05FAQ

Ansys internship – FAQ

Still have a question? The counsellor at the centre you prefer replies on WhatsApp.

Ask on WhatsApp
How long is the Ansys internship?

The Ansys internship runs for 20–104 hours, depending on the track you choose. Weekday, weekend and fast-track batches are available.

Who should join the Ansys internship?

It is best suited to Mechanical, automobile, aeronautical and civil students. A counsellor can check your background in a quick call or WhatsApp chat.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes – you receive an internship completion certificate after completing the programme and the project review.

Is it a paid internship?

It is a fee-based internship course you can take while still studying, with a mini-project and certificate. It is not a job and does not include a stipend. Graduates who have completed their degree can apply for a stipend-based internship with CareerKraft on our Work with us page.

What is Ansys used for?

Ansys is simulation software used to check designs on the computer. Workbench is used for stress, vibration, buckling, heat and fatigue studies, and Fluent is used for fluid flow and heat transfer (CFD). Engineers use it to find problems before a prototype is made.

Who can join the Ansys course?

It suits BE/BTech and diploma students in Mechanical, Automobile, Aeronautical and related branches, M.E./M.Tech students and working engineers. You need basic computer skills and some engineering background. Knowing a CAD tool helps but is not compulsory for the Essential levels.

Where can I do it?

At CareerKraft Katpadi (Near Aascars Cinemas), Vellore (Near Raja Theatre) or Ranipet (Near SBI, Muthukadai) – in classroom, online or hybrid mode.
