A clear next step for you

Civil and architecture work has moved from hand drawings to digital models. Consultants expect juniors to draft plans in AutoCAD, build BIM models in Revit, analyse frames in STAAD.Pro or ETABS, and plan schedules in Primavera. Students who graduate with only theory often spend their first months learning these tools on the job. Learning them earlier makes you useful from the first week.

CareerKraft teaches CADD Centre's civil and architecture courses at Katpadi, Vellore and Ranipet. You work on building plans, structural models, road alignments and project schedules. Choose a design route, a structural route or a planning route, and build up level by level. Weekend and online batches suit students, site engineers and practising architects. Each level ends with a project, so you finish with drawings and models you can show.

Site jobs pay little at the start

Design, BIM and planning skills open office-based roles with consultants and builders, where growth is steadier with experience.

Which software should I learn first?

AutoCAD first for drafting, then Revit for BIM. Structural students add STAAD.Pro or ETABS; planners add Primavera.

BIM keeps coming up in interviews

Revit, Navisworks and BIM courses teach model-based design and coordination, which larger projects increasingly expect.

I want to work in the Gulf or big cities

Revit, STAAD.Pro, ETABS and Primavera are used widely in Chennai, Bengaluru and overseas projects, so the skills travel well.

04FAQ

Questions from be/btech civil & architecture

Still have a question? The counsellor at the centre you prefer replies on WhatsApp.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which is better for civil engineers – STAAD.Pro or ETABS?

Both are used for structural analysis. STAAD.Pro covers a wide range of structures, while ETABS is focused on buildings. Many structural engineers learn both, starting with STAAD.Pro.

Do architecture students need Revit?

Increasingly, yes. Revit lets you model once and produce plans, sections and schedules together, and many firms now work in BIM.

Is Primavera useful for fresh graduates?

Yes, especially if you want to move into planning. It is used on construction and infrastructure projects to schedule activities and track progress.

Can site engineers attend on weekends?

Yes. We run weekend batches and Online or Hybrid options depending on trainer availability.

What is the fee?

Fees depend on the course and level. The counsellor at your chosen centre (Katpadi, Vellore or Ranipet) will share the current fee, any offers and EMI options on WhatsApp.

Do you offer placement help?

We offer placement support: resume help, mock interviews and job leads. We do not promise a job, because that depends on your skills, practice and the market, but we help you prepare well.
